Hello all, I hope your doing OK today! :) I started seeing a GYN in October when my bladder problems first got severe, thinking it was GYN related. I was told I have large fibroids, my uterus measures a little over 11 cm. (was told it's normally @ 6cm.?), and my ovaries have masses on them that are not "simple ovarian cysts". I had an endometrial biopsy performed that was negative (THAT PROCEDURE SET OFF MY IC!) I asked my GYN if this could be pushing on my bladder, making things worse, and she told me "No". (Now this is the same doc that did the PST test on me, left the solution in my bladder and sent me home in excruciating pain...when I called her HOURS after the PST, she sent me to the E.R., then never returned the E.R. doc's many calls!...needless to say I don't see HER anymore!)
Now I'm set to see a new GYN on Thursday, and I'm just wondering what your experiences might be with this. Do you think the enlarged uterus and fibroids can be causing alot of my pain that I attribute to IC and PFD? It sure seem like common sense to me that it MUST be causing at least some of my pain! Also, if you had a hysterectomy, how did THAT affect your IC symptoms?
