syst causing flare ups?

I have a pro-urethreal syst, that sits directly below my urethrea on my upper vaginal wall. i have had it for about two years. I have had surgery on it once, and have a dr. appt. today to look at it again. my obgyn think it has attached itself to my urethrea, and it afraid that if we take it completely out, which he did not last time, my urethrea will collapse, so i am seeing another uro about it, and he is going to be there for my second surgery in cas it does collapse. dose anyone have any opinion about what this might do, or if it will make it worse or better? maybe it is causing flareups? any ideas? thanks--Heather

Heather, I don't know how to advise you, because I'm not your doctor. However, I wish you success in the procedure. Just common sense says it could be irritating your urethra...but, your doc and uro would know better than me. Let us know how it goes.
