Many of you may or may not have seen the ad that has Montel Williams in it. It is for a program called Partnership for Prescription Assistance Program. It may provide medication for free or nearly free for those that qualify. We all know how expensive some IC medications can be, Elmrion being one of them, and if you are unable to pay for your meds and cant use them because of this reason, it might be worth it to check out their website. You can find it at www.pparx.org.

I hope maybe this info can help someone out. :)

Hi Patricia,
I've posted about this numerous times and have never gotten a reply or indication that anyone was interested in it.

I just figured at this point in time, we were all OK with our drugs.

I've never used the service but have spoken to people who have and they can't say enough about them.

Ladies,
if you look you can see where people has looked at the thread. here on the low income board people do use the information, but they don't always reply because they don't want other to know there personal business.
I do it all the time looking for new information to help others. I admit I've been slack on a lot of updates lately because of all the issue going on in my life, but trust me when I say I'm sure others has checked it out and they really thank you for caring enough to share the information.
Please keep up the good work by posting things like this to help others. Just because they don't reply doesn't mean they are not helped by it.
Thank you both very much!!!!!!!!
Rhonda

Rhonda I cant say you slack, at least I dont see it. With all you have going on you still do so much for everyone on here.

Liz I thought I had seen something on here about them. I just keep seeing there ads, and I know how expensive meds can be. Before Medicare offered prescirption drug program I was kinda of loss. Hubby made to much to qualify for much. I had to get a Advir Diskcus not to long ago and thankful my doctor can me a coupon so I did not have to pay for it. That little thing was well over $100.00. But I had to have it, my Asthma is kicking up full force again.

So hopefully someone can look at the thread and maybe it will help one person. Who knows. Like Rhonda said some may not want to post such personal stuff on here. I know how hard it is to make ends met.

Hi Patricia,

I know what you mean about the drug prices being prohibitive. I wouldn't have been able to afford the Elmiron and as it was ....I had to wait til January when my Medicare coverage kicked in til I filled my prescription. Pretty sad eh? Things are really screwed up sometimes....

It doesn't matter if you worked your whole life for a good sized company (as I did) or were ill from the time you were younger. When it does happen to you, it seems nobody wants to know about it! :cussing:

Does it sound as if I've had a bad day? Hmmmm
