I'm dignosed since August 2005. I follow a treatment but sometimes the pain appears again. I find the web site very great, I read all experiences and I dont' feel alone but it's very hard because I don't if one day I will live without that pain !!!

I'm glad you found us. Hopefully one day you will find treatments that will help you keep away the pain.

We are happy to meet you :) ! It sounds like you experience flares now and then.
What treatments are using that are working for the pain?

The first part of my treatments was some risings of my bladder. I don't remember exactly the name but the product was very brown and it burns the ulcers. Now I take 2 time/day a concoction it's base on plants the name is difficult I only remember it began with VA... I'm going to ask the name at my urologist when I will see him next time. The treatments are soft becaus my bladder can fight the ulcers itself but sometimes when I'm more nervous the ulcers win and the pain comes back.
PS: sorry for my English but I'm Belgian

Thank you for all your welcome :)
I never try it but I'm going to speak about it with my urologist. I don't know if we have it in Europ...

I really hope you speak with your Uro about it. It is the 1st line of treatment ( along w/some other meds ). I have been on it 9 months and i started the antihistamine about 3 weeks ago, It has taken awhile for the Elmiron to work but i am seeing a noticeable difference now, especially since adding in the atarax.
You may want to check out ordering the book the Interstitial Survival guide, you can order it from here it is very helpful on treatments. If Elmiron isn't available by you that doesn't mean if your doc suggests it you can't get it. PM anytime for any info on Elmiron. It's very expensive & i have info on patient assistance programs.
Hope you find releif soon,
Tracey :)
