Weird rash

Hello fellow sufferers:

Anyone ever developed a rash after a rescue instill? I have little red polka-dots on my upper chest. They don't hurt or itch or anything. I don't know if it could be related to one of the medications in the rescue instill or if it's just from wearing too many layers and getting sweaty on my daily walks. Or maybe it's the measles. That would be just my luck.

I've never had a rash from an instillation. Are you on any medications? herbals?

I'm on Lyrica, but the rash started after that.

It's fading now. I'll have to see if it comes back after the next go-round!

I have the EXACT same rash from rescue instills. My doctor thinks it might be the marcaine? At first I thought it was something else causing it, but it gets worse the day after instills. Red splotches all over my back/stomach/chest, with several little red dots on my chest. Very odd. It doesn't bother me, but I'm worried if I'm reacting like this on the outside, how is the med affecting my inside? I haven't found the instills to help yet, but I'm only on my 4th.

Update: just noticed this was posted 4 years ago. LOL. But hey, guess it's worth leaving up in case anyone else has this problem:)

I get the exact same rash on my chest after an instill!! Red dot type things that seem to go away a few days after I have the instill. Then when I have the next one, they re-appear! I too am wondering what is going on. The doctor said he doesn't think it's the instill, but I know it must be. My instill is lidocaine, sodium bicarbonate, heparin and sterile water.

Sometimes the instills help, others they don't (and when they do help, the positive effects don't last long...but like you, I've only had 4 instills.)

Of the ones that don't help as much, some of the instill dripped out, so I know I am not getting the whole dose.

Same thing has been happening to me, however I have been getting very itchy and my skin also feels like pins and needles!

We have stopped the instills after only the 4th one and am now on Benedryl for the last few days.
