I am new to the sight and would like to know if anyone who has been given depo lupron has had any of the following complications after the last shot was given 5.5 months earlier: (I also have had my tubes tied 5 years ago) I have very sore breast mostly around the nipple area, swelling in the abdomen, vomiting last night, very tired and pain on my right side in my hip area (a little above). It has felt like i am starting my period every month, but never do. Now these symptoms and i am just getting very frustrated! I just started new employment so insurance does not kick in for 2more months! during the lupron shots i had 2 surguries (dnc, hysorotomy, and gallbladder removal.) can anyone please help?

It took me three months after i got off the shot to start and yes i was so moody i couldnt even stand to be around myself and yes the pain was awful i felt the same way i just wanted to crawl in bed and never come out to. i didnt lose any hair though not that i noticed but my scalp was always dry and my hair was real course which was not normal for me at all. i couldnt wait to start and that is sad because my menstraul is the worst for me. I definatly felt like i was crawling out my skin. I really am glad its over and i am off that shot .

I don't know anything about IC but i was just reading on it and it says swollen bladder and pain in the abdomen? I havn't been to the urology dept yet because i had to reschedule from missing so much work with the severe bleeding and surguries i had.... but my doctor said that my bladder was swollen and it feels like i have an infection, but never do! and now i switched jobs and waiting for my ins to kick in! I wonder if that is what i have?

I read your profile and you are very close in age to me! when did you start having all these problems? I started really bad after i had my 3rd child. so around 25 years old. It seems I am meeting more and more women around my age that are going thru simular things!

Yes i gained about ten pounds but after i got off the shot i lost it . My family hardly wanted to be around me while i was on that i was so moody and hard to be around . I went through that telling everyone i was sorry to but you have no control over it ... it seems like. I have IC and endometreoises i was diagnosed with endo last year and thats why they put me on the shot but after 6 months of it not helping my doctor felt like there was something else wrong so before we took drastic measures she wanted to make sure what was causing all my pain well it turned out to be Ic. I am no doctor but if you think there might be a chance of Ic then talk to your doctor about it .

Welcome, :welcome:
I am pretty new to... but you will find a lot of friendly, helpful people here
This is the 2nd time for me to be on the shots, and for the most part I have had all of the same symptoms you have had. I was on the shots 1x a month for 6 months in 04 stopped.... during that time I lost alot of weight, threw up all the time, was tired. etc.
This time, in Feb. 06, I was given a 3 month injection, all the same symptons, swelling, vomiting, sweating, lost 20 lbs. in 2 months. It is a nasty, nasty shot and is hard on our systems...( the swelling could be ic, or from the shot)
