It's Friday night, I'm exhausted, but still tense from a rough week.
How do you all relax?

hmmm.....

Crawling in bed w/ a heating pad and reading a great book........

OR

Taking a bath and lighting candles and looking at my favorite pictures around my bathtub while jamming to my favorite tunes on the iPod!!

Those are both sounding SOOOO alluring right now!

Radio or music, nice hot bath, although I know not everyone can have one. Some computer time later of course :).

It's the bathtub and a magazine for me. Or, the heating pad, bed and tv.

I read or watch tv, if I want to get sleepy & forget all my troubles, I'll grab a book, just started another one yesterday! When I read before going to bed I sleep like a baby!!

I read fiction & romance novels, my favorite author is Joy Fielding she writes fiction, she grips you @ the beginning & doesn't let go I LOVE it!! I read her books in 5 days or less most of the time.

Relaxing is sometimes easier said than done. Especially when your overtired. I curl up on my body massage pad, put on the heater, turn on the spa music and pull out a magazine.

I immediately make myself some relaxing herb teas! It's the first thing I do when I walk in the door! I love Sleepy Time or Tension Tamer by Celestial Seasonings, thank goodness neither bothers me! LOL Then I change into jammy bottoms and a sweatshirt, plop on the couch, watch Dr Phil and veg til it's time to cook dinner.

I live for Friday nights, love them. It's so nice to come home, make tea, get into comfy clothes and relax - knowing that one of my favorite TV shows is on that evening (Ghost Whisperer) and the fact, I don't have to get up for work the next morning! Yippy!!! That right there is relaxing on a Friday night! LMAO!

Oh and I have one guilty pleasure when I am frazzled to no end or upset - the second Harry Potter movie, lmao! Hubby knows it's been a rough day when I put in my "comfort movie", silly - yes, but it works!!! ;)

I found a Stress Reduction Self-Hypnosis CD helps tremendously - my physical therapist recommended it to relax my pelvic floor muscles. However, it's a fabulous way to relax in 20 minutes.

My favourite way to relax is to get into the jammies and dressing gown, make a large cup of rooibos tea, turn on the telly for background entertainment and do some sort of craft work. At the moment its cross stitching or knitting.
