Instillation with Silver Nitrate

I just got home from the hospital Sunday....I had a Cysto/Hydro and a 3 day
silver nitrate instillation.....too soon to know if it worked yet, I'm still sore from the cysto/hydro and the catheter. I'll let you know in a few days if I'm any better. Did anyone else have this done?

Silver nitrate isn't used much any more for IC, but when I was diagnosed 31 years ago, it was about the only treatment available. I have to say that it did help me during those early years, but it's very irritating so part of your soreness could be from the silver nitrate.
