Hi need advice please reply

Hi everyone,Please give me some advice. I have not been diagnosed with IBS but have been told by my doctor that i might have it.
I used to have really bad gas pain like symptoms and that's when she said it could be IBS.Through a pelvic ultrasound mid-last year i was later diagnosed with an ovarian cyst.I still have the cyst.
Since January this year i am experiencing 2 strange symptoms.
1) I have an incomplete feeling after my stools.Meaning like there is still more in there but not enough pressure to expel it.(sorry for being gross)
2) I have noticed i burp/belch a lot after passing stools.For an hour or 2 i burp a lot after pooping.This is a very wierd symptom and when i spoke with my gynaec she said she would refer me to GI as this was their department.
Please advice me as to what these symptoms could mean.Are these symptoms of IBS? Has anyone here had any of them?

I think your gyno has the right idea. It could be a lot of things, from diet sensitivity to hemorrhoids to any of a multitude of things. You do need to know --- it can't be a comfortable feeling.

I too think that your gyno has the right idea, best to be referred to a gastro! Like Donna said, it could be a number of things, and they are trained to know where to start. I wouldn't even want to try to guess if it were me, most times I work myself up over nothing...lol. Hope your doc gets you in with one quickly so you can get to the bottom of what's going on! ;)
