Going for IC test on Thursday...

I went to the Urologist this past Thursday as the Gyno thought I may have IC. Well He thought that my symptoms definitely sounded like it could be IC but were going to do a test for sure. He said first he'll do an exam next Thursday then they will do the test. They have to put a catheter in my bladder, drain my bladder and then put something up there (dye or something???). I am confused. Didn't really get what the whole procedure is and whats going to happen. Can someone who's had this done PLEASE let me know what happens so I can have a clearer idea of what to expect on Thursday. I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Yes, it sounds like the PST test. Go to the IC Handbook and it will give you a detailed description of what they will do. Hope you feel better soon!

PST..Potassium Sensitivity Test, the put a clean water in and judge how your react...than put in a Potassium solution and juge how you react. Good luck!:grouphug:

Good Luck the test is not bad at all. I had it done. Didnt prove anything thow.
