Haven't used this board in about a month. I had problems in January, with a UTI, pelvic pain, overactive bladder. Constant frequency issue. Over 20 times a day and no sleep. After 3 doctors, the doc mentioned IC and after reading the IC website, remember how some people mentioned how the diagnosis can take awhile.
I had my cystoscopy in an outpatient surgery. Not very painful. He inserted a tube in my ureather, looked around, and then filled it with water? to see how much I could hold. I have a very small bladder. He said about 300-350 cc. Of course it felt full the entire time for me. I thought if I had IC it would show lesions or cysts on the side. He did not see anything.
The problem is after being on Leviquin to remove any infections in January, Taking Detrol La for almost 2 months. I still have the pelvic pain, and the frequent urination. I still go about 15-20 times a day. Even though it is only 15 to 20 times a day, I always feel the pressure. I am just trying to hold it off longer, especiall if I am sitting dow. I have been taking Lunista and Ambien to sleep, I still got up 3 times last night. And I went to bed at 12:30 p.m and had to get to work at 5:00. It has been so frustrating.I feel like I am constantly trying to be patient. I think the doc thinks I am a pain in the butt. I am going back to him next week if I can get a appt. He thinks Detrol LA should take about 4 months.
I don't know if this is IC. He mentioned this a month ago, but after the cystoscopy he said most likely an overactive bladder. The issue is I always went to the bathroom quite a bit before, I was fine with that, and I probablely went 15 -20 times a day without being aware of it. It's just the constant pressure and left and right side pelvic pain.
They did a vaginal ultrasound and saw nothing. A little bit of fibroids but that's it.
Any thoughts? I have no painful urination, I gave up coffee a month ago, and no chocolate. All s I drink is water about 8 glasses.
Sorry if I seem to be ranting, just so frustrated.
