I voted as not flaring from either, but it needs to be conditional. I can't "pig out" on bananas without a flare, but I can have one a few times a week. Potatoes are okay any time!

I'm with Donna. And if I do eat a banana, I eat it only if it still has some green in it.
Potatoes are actually soothing to my bladder if I am in a flare.

Bananas have to be slightly past the green stage or I'll flare. I personally like them soft, ripe, and sweet, but will settle for a little firmer instead of giving them up alltogether.
