Hi all,

I've recently been diagnosed and have been struggling to figure out what I can eat that will be least likely to hurt my bladder (esp. since still recuperating from recent cystoscopy). Though I saw other threads on bread out there, I wanted to ask more specifically whether there were whole grain or whole wheat options that most IC patients can tolerate. I'm not used to eating white bread and I'm also puzzled by the labels of breads at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods -- it seems that even the freshly baked variety can have vinegar, citric acid and other potential offenders.

I bought white pitas and a rustic country bread, but I'd like to test out more healthy options. Should I try 100% whole wheat?

Ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks. :)

I do best on plain white bread. I can tolerate some of the whole grain breads, but whole wheat is a problem for me.
