I am not sure where to post this..... but I want to send a thank you out to my husband. He may be a turd sometimes, but he has sure been supportive of me w/ my disease. He is considerate and patient. He helps me w/ my rescue treatments every single day and he understands that sex hurts and he does not pressure me there. Last night I met yet another ICer that was getting a divorce b/c of this awful disease. It made me want to cry yet it made me realize how truly lucky I am to have the support of my family. I just don't know what I would do w/o it. It helps me get thru the day to know I have people at home and here in this board to support me. When I got home, I gave him a big ole hug and thanked him. I started to cry, he started to cry... it was really touching. Anyway..... I just wanted to send this out, wanted to brag. I wished everyone here had the same thing I do and I will not take it for granted. :)

:woohoo: Yes...it is a great blessing to have the support of love ones...esp a significant other...I know it is wind beneath my wings so to speak. May you always have this and may it help you to get through anything you have to face in life. God Bless!

whew! Thanks for responding. I was beginning to wonder if bragging was a no no. I saw where people were looking but not commenting. Yes, I am a very lucky lady.

Thanks for posting this. Sometimes I read the sad posts about relationships falling apart over IC and I think I should just give up hope for a relationship... It's good to think that it can work out:)

Kimchi,
Thanks for sharing that! It was sweet and touching. My husband has been great, too. He's even come to doctor appointments with me when I needed someone else to help me push for pain meds (it worked). I need to thank him more often. So thanks, too, for the reminder!

Thanks for posting this Kimchi! Like said in the previous responces to this, it is a reminder for me too. I have to remember to thank the family and friends who support me also! Your post was soooo touching. I am so happy for you! I'm glad to see that you have the suport you need and deserve. Tell your husband thanks for being a IC hero from us on these boards :) I love to see a spouse being supportive and loving toward someone who is in great need of that. I am going to make a few phone calls and sit my family down for a personal "Thank You SO Much for being there and understanding even when its hard to understand! :loco: :) " ( I will make sure to buy lots of tissue boxes :grouphug: ) Don't worry about sounding like your bragging, it sounded more like a VERY Proud women who is getting through IC w/ loving help! You made my day, hon! Take care and I really hope you are doing well. :grouphug: :)
Take care and God Bless, Cassandra

Kimchi,

Thank you for posting and sharing. Positive and good news on this board is always needed, and it was extremely inspirational to me. I am single and recently ended a disappointing 2 year relationship. There are good men out there and I refuse to believe the "They are all married line". Even it it was long ago, you attracted a good man because you are a good person. I want to continue to work on myself and find the appropriate companion to share life with.

Perhaps, you could do a monthly post on one sweet thing your hubby does to support you, and how it makes you feel. (Then print it out and put it on the fridge for him LOL!) I think it would be cool if you keep sharing with us. Thanks
