Hello to all
I hear so much about Pelvic Floor Therapy. What is it? What does the therapist do?
The only reason I'm asking is because I've been having this painful aroused feeling down there and It's very irritating. I hate this feeling and nothing seems to help. If anyone has some kinda of remedy to share, I'm all ears. I'm at my wits end I don't know what to do anymore.

I am recently diagnosed with Pelvic Floor Disfunction...I go in once a week to see my doctor where I have what is called electrostimulation...Basically I insert a probe and that is attached to a small machine which I can control...it is left in for about 15 minutes and basically it tires out the muscles...so every couple seconds the muscles tighten and relax...it does not hurt but you are sore after...It has helped. I also take warm baths everyday and use a vaginal dialator. You can find these online at soulsourceenterprises.com...they are inexpensive. She also massages my muscles when I go in. She has given me flexeril (spel?) which is a muscle relaxer to help.
I hope that this has helped! PM me anytime if you have any questions!
I hope you feel better soon!
I see a physical therapist who specializes in working with women with pelvic muscle floor problems. She says I have a lot of spasming and weakening in those muscles, so she has me do a series of stretches to stretch the tight fascia which covers the muscles down there, and in your whole body. She does external and internal (vaginally) stretch and massage. I also have to use dialators. We also do biofeedback, which measure pelvic muscle activity and graphs it on a computer.
