Menstrual Cycle

I've read that most people IC gets worst during their period. I swear mines feel better during my period. Is there anyone else who experiences this?

hello:

I haven't been diagnosed yet with IC, but do have the symptoms for about 11 months now, frequent urination and bladder pressure.

And YES during my period the frequency and bladder pressure goes totally away.....I actually have a follow up appt. tomorrow with a hormone specialist. For the last 11 months nobody could tell me why it gets better during my period, the urologists doesn't know, and the ob/gyn doesn't know.

so tomorrow I get my results....

I too feel best during my period. I have not been diagnosed with IC yet either- just have off and on symptoms for 8 months.
I was taking birth control pills and went off them this month to see what would happen. I have noticed that I feel better-less burning feeling and urgency. Funny, now I look forward to having my period because that is when I know I feel best!

I am having the same thing happen. When my cycle starts, all my symptoms disappear. and i feel great for once.
I was wondering if anyone found anything out?

Me too - I get 2 or 3 days of remission with each period. I have heard this is very common with women with IC.
