I have heard that the hormones in HRT are somewhat different from the naturally occuring ones. And that progesterone cream will also convert to Estrogen. It is NOT the same progesterone that hurts IC. You have to be careful what kind of the cream you get . Avoid, Wild Yam. That does nothing. I've found it to work but I still get hot flashes sometimes. I get swelling in my lower abdomen from the IC and that has nothing to do with the HRT. I've had a full hysterectomy.

Hi,
I am 38 years old and my chiropractor said I am not too young to start using progesterone cream if my estrogen level tests high, because many women in their 30s have estrogen levels that are too high. My question is, does the natural progesterone creams hurt/irritate an IC bladder?
Please email me at rgreenup@charter.net

The natural progesterone creams in my experience doesn't hurt my IC bladder because it is different from this stuff made in a chem lab.
