A little worried

Hi everyone me again,

Friday I was scheduled for my 3rd instill, but I missed it, because of a bad wreak that shut down the interstates and the doctors office closed before I could get through the traffic. Okay, so I was supposed to go today at 1 to have it done. So this morning I go to school and before class use the restroom. Sorry to be gross, but I started peeing alot of blood. I felt okay ,but as class continued I started to feel crampy. Almost like I was going to start my period, only I have had a hystorectomy. After class I went back to the restroom and I still had alot of blood in my urine. I was hoping it was a one time thing, not so.

My back hurt pretty badly yesterday, but I did'nt think anything else about it. I called the doc and they said not to come in today come tomorrow when the doctor will be there to see me. I hope it is just an small infection. I am so scared of cath's anyway. I am also worried if it is an infection it will hurt even worse.

Has this happened to any of you? I am just worried, it is freaky to see yourself peeing blood (even though I have done it several times) it is still wierd and worries me.

Bingo!!! We have finally found one another. I posted a thread the other day on this very thing and no one responded. So I spent the weekend worrying. My IC is severe and it doesn't always happen just when its a bad bad flare. I know when its going to happen because my back starts to kill. I too have had a hysterectomy. My Uro isn't too worried by this but has asked me to have a bladder biopsy as soon as I settle down a abit. This is just a precaution and the biopsy itself doesn't worry me because I've beeen going through this for years. Your not alone! Private message me and we'll talk.

It is common to have a very small amount of blood like a few drops if you have IC. When the bladder gets very irritated it bleeds a little but it is not normal to have a lot of blood in your urine with ic. Trac348, I would go to the er and be examined for it. It can be from stones an infection or something else.

I often have visbile bleeding and clots when I urinate. Not too many people have it happen but there are some of us that do.

That makes me feel some better. Babs do you have it with an infection or just at random?
As long as I dont have severe pain I am going to wait till I dee the doc tomorrow.

Both, it increases with infection.

I went back to day. There was traces of blood still in urine, but no sign of infection. The doctor let me have the instill. I is about an hour and a half later I am hurting. She just told me to watch for more blood.
