Yesterday I was given ten kilos of green tomatoes. Now I don't have much time to make something with them or else they will become RED tomatoes.

I do have some recipes but would love to get some new ideas.
Tracey gave me a new dip recipe that went over really well at yesterdays gathering. So, I thought some of you may have something different for me to try.

I have a chow chow recipe but it's not IC friendly. If you want it anyway, just let me know by pm or the board and I'll get it to you. Praying that you find great ways to use that ten kilos of tomatoes. Blessings and good eating!

We slice them, dip them in egg, then flour them and fry them in oil until crispy. Again not bladder friendly but good.

I know that I probably won't be able to eat anything I make as tomatoes and me just don't get along any more. Still, the fried green tomatoes sound yummy.

Carolyn, I would appreciate your recipe. I have never heard of it and can only wonder at what it is.

We just dust them in a mixture of self-rising cornmeal and fry them. Yummy! I don't think my bladder would like them anymore, but that sounds so good right now.

You can make pickle relish with them. Would need cucumbers and other ingredients tho.

Can you give me the recipe for your pickle relish?
I have gathered a number of different recipes so far and would like to add to them. Green tomatoes will still be available for a short while and I might get some more to try something different.

I will give you the pickle relish recipe as soon as I find it. Haven't made it in awhile. Use to know it by heart.

I'm sorry but I can't find the recipe. I threw out a lot of my recipe books and imagine the recipe was in one of those. Sorry again.

Well, if I never see another green tomato again, it will be too soon!
I did try some and they are quite nice but my urethra suggest that I don't have any more!
