Hi girls,

Recently I have been having my hormones compounded because every
traditional HRT sent me into flares. Right now, I'm on TRI-EST at .125 estriol,
.125 estrone, and 1 mg of estrodiol. It is definately helping my bladder and no
flares. However, it has not had the same effect that Premarin did on my sex
drive. I'm thinking the dosage is still to low. Is anyone else on a Tri-Est natural
hormone combination and if so, please share your experience with getting the
levels right. If I could just get the libido back, I would be thrilled! When I took
Premarin, I did not seem to need the testosterone. To bad that I was unable to
tolerate equine estrogens. I'm just wondering if this "natural" hormone
combination is going to be strong enough? If anyone else is using natural
hormones being compounded, please post your dosage and experiences.

Sherry, thanks for talking with me lastnight
about the hormones. My GYN Practitioner
called me back and is going to order the
natural estrogen and she said that since
my mom died of breast cancer at an early
age that I also need to take the natural
progesterone with it. That is not the
same as the Progesterone (progestin) that
Dr.'s order that is harmful to the bladder.
She said she went to a lecture about
the compounding hormones this summer and
she sounded very knoweledgeable.

I also read today that for some people who
have decreased libido that compounded natural progesterone does help along
with the compounded estrogen. Just a
thought. My e-mail is gbanderson@prodigy.net. BEv

Hello,

I live in the UK and recently got on to one of the chat sessions rather late in the am.

I read that Progesterone was bad for the bladder if you have IC, which I have.

I have gone back to the chat session, but because of the time difference, I have to be on 1am or 2am in the morning UK time.

Please can someone help and tell me what the problem is with Progesterone? as I have been on HRT for 3 months, and I am now having some problems. I was 51 a few days ago.

Thank you in advance and warm wishes to you all.

Ukicer, the Progesterone I was referring to
is natural progesteron either the cream
or the speical compounded natural progesteron
cream. It works much differently from
the Progesterone (Progestin) that the
M.D's usually order. WOnder if you have
that in U.K. You might want to read
through the messages about what hormones
people are using on this message board.
I read about someone else who is using
the Bi-est (compounded estrogen) and the
natural progesterone cream and she stated
she thinks it has helped her I.C. Bev
