My husband just took possession of a new car. It has front seats that warm themselves. Oh, my... :woohoo:

LOL! That's great Sharon. My sister has a car like that and I have to say it felt great for an IC bladder! Enjoy the new car!!

Oh, Sharon, isn't that GREAT????????? Both my parents have cars that do that, and when I went up there this winter over Christmas I learned how great they are. :D

'Course, now I've got a major case of "new car envy"...... ;)

Aren't heated seats the greatest thing, especially for ICers?!!! I will never own a car without them now. We have traveled well over 20,000 miles in the past year and, even if my bladder is having a touchy day, I can ride comfortably. Granted, I've had IC for several years now and have found a fairly effective combo of meds that helps me, but I do still flare. When flaring, riding in a car can be so uncomfortable. If that happens, I flip on my "bun warmer" and have instant comfort. In fact, no matter the outside temp, I just automatically turn on my seat heater the minute I get in the car.

Car cushions that plug into the car and create heat and massage are available. I believe the heat setting can be used without the massage feature on some of these. Perhaps someone who has tried these can jump in here and let us know if these things work as well as built in seat heaters. It might be worthwhile to check them out!

My beloved car of 5 years has heated seats! Oh, how I love them! However, since October I've been having to drive the new truck, which does not have them. My hubby has been driving my car to work to save gas. Yeah, HE wanted the truck, but wants to drive MY car! Go figure!

Yep...have an extra set of keys. But they are not going to do me any good. :shake: It is his car and he will be using it all the time. :(

He has offered to get me a new car, also. I sure am thinking about it if I can find one that has seat warmers. I HATE being cold. I understand the "new car envy", Jen.

Besides warming the bum, the heat goes up the lumbar area of the seat. WOW...a warm lower back, also. What more could a woman ask? Maybe what Annie said about the massage feature? Hummmmm...that has possibilities. :D
