Awwwww --- that's so sweet. I'm sure my Meggie dal*****n would just love to be on my lap, but not enough lap!
Hugs,

Well if I keep eating this way, I'll have room for Meggie in the middle and one cat on each hip!!
Since I lost my Timmy the cat last week, this week we will go to interview some cats to bring home with us as my lap is verrry lonely!!

Sounds like a wonderful heating pad. ;)

Awwww. What's the kitty's name?

The kitty on my lap was Trilby. My older one is Isabelle.
Their internet names are Edvige and Sonya on another forum I am on, where I am more concerned about my anonymity.
quiltz, I'm sorry you lost your cat. I hope you have a new companion soon.

Thanks Baba Yaga,
Tomorrow I go to the Vet hospital because Doc said he has some kitties looking for homes. I'm not sure what I'm looking for, whether a new baby would be good for the mix or an older pet who is over the drapery climbing stage. I think I will just go take a look and also pay my bill which I neglected to do the last time I was there. I'm thinking that the Doc did it that way on purpose because he knew I would be back and he could fill my pockets with kittens on the way out.
The only advantage I can think of to not having a cat here is that I can eat in the living room without a little face right next to my mouth looking for a snack. I swear when it comes to food, my cats have some special radar!! We do have one little female tabby named Sweetie now, but she is really Rich's baby and unless I come bearing food....wants nothing much to do with me.

Wish me luck!!

I have a "little"? doggy, she is part Alaskan husky and a Rat Terrier. (more the size of a terrier! she is her Mommys baby. Seems to be by me when I'm home all the time, sleeps in our room, she is right there, especially when there is food around! What would we do without them!?. In the morning when I get up, she stays on the bed till I go into the shower, then she is right by the door, and then she follows me to the kitchen to get the other side of the house to wake her "brother" up so she can go outside. After she comes back in, she settles back in, she gets on the couch and watch us get ready for work and school. My son says he swears that she stays there all day long because she seems to be in the same position when he gets home from school.
P.S. Sorry about the loss of your baby.

Hi BabaYaga and everyone else!
I just want to let you know that things went well today and we now have a new little buddy at our house. His name is Talbot and he's about 2 years old. He's black with a tiny bit of white at the throat. I think we will do well here. He's active but not like a kitten .... a little bit more controlled!
Thank you all for your kind thoughts this past week.
Liz :cat:
PS:I think Trilby must have been lucky for me today!

How is Talbot doing?
Today I read the Coping with Flares manual while sitting with Isabelle. Now she is asleep on the floor on my left, and Trilby is sleeping on my right in a little cat room.

Hi Baba Yaga,
Thanks for asking .... he is doing great!! He's a very nice little guy, very affectionate and gentle. He's active, running up and down the hallway ... folding up the throw rugs by the front door!! Oh well ....I didn't want a fancy house anyway!! hee hee ... Those of us who love our critters learn very early on to appreciate the wonder of a warm cat on our lap ..or the licks from a puppy, and overlook little things like pet hair on the furniture!!
I can feel my blood pressure going down when he climbs into my lap!
Liz :cat:
PS:Give some pets to Isabelle and Trilby from me :cat1:
