I had a long and very helpful thread going several weeks ago, and I think its on the flare board, and I don't know how to link it.
I was having what you guys helped me to determine was a yeast infection that was like chafing in my "crack" from the tip top down to the rectum was red and terribly chafed. I knew it was from the Cipro, and all of you were right about what to do. (I wonder why we are all different, I have this External thing, not really effecting the labia, etc? Before I've had thrush instead of a "vaginal" infection?
Anyway, I had 3 DIflucan every 3 days. I was to treat with Nystatin at the same time. As luck would have it, I started my period in the middle of the treatment. (I did not apply the Nystantin a few days because I was better, and I thought it would make it worse with my period.)
"Bottom" line (no pun intended!), I started getting worse again. Picture a circle of redness where its red all around, it was red just around the edges of the circle, which made me think it's better, just not well.
I got another 2 DIflucan, thought I was getting better, and its hurting again. Its right where I sit and where I lie on my back.
I have been slathered in Nystatin for days, and I am beginning to wonder if keeping it so damp down there has made it worse. Since its covers so much area, its really cremed up from by tailbone and the insides of my cheeks. I know you are supposed to use it...am I putting too much. Why is this not getting better, or it seems the minute the Diflucan gets out of my system, It tries to come back.
My uro has left town to practice, and my mom, a fellow IC'er is in the hospital. I can't take all my clothes off, but I'm tempted!
I'm not a yeast infection person, please help. I have read the tips, I just wonder about too much creme or if anyone has had one resistant or that comes back without the DIflucan. I can't do this right now! The effected area is where I sit. I can't really air that out! Has anyone invented that cheek spreader?
Help?
P.S.
Whoever said that about the light may be right. My uro said the best thing would be if I could sit outside and let sun get on it. (I DON'T even want to picture that attempt!!)
