since my symptoms are getting worse should I have another cystoscopy

My Ic symptoms has been hoorible lately and the uti's isn't helping. I am seeing a new uro now should I ask him for cystoscopy to look at my bladder to see if the damage to my bladder is worse.?

you could do, but maybe should wait until the infection is over and you have healed from surgery. I'm sure your symptoms must seem unbearable at the moment,so the added pain and discomfort from the hydro/cysto might not be welcome!
On the other hand, if you think it will give you any relief....

I would wait until the UTI is gone and see what happens then. Hopefully you'll feel better.

Hey Emily - sometimes there's no rhyme or reason to why symptoms get worse. Your doc may do a cystoscopy and not see anything different than from before. Give your body a chance to "de-flare", to get over your infection, and then if things aren't better, have your doc do some testing. Hope you feel better soon! I know how you feel!

Gosh, hon..I hope you feel better soon. If I were you, I'd hold off just awhile and wait til the uti goes away.

I agree hun. My symproms are also worse than they were even 6 months ago but i cant figure out any type of ryme or reason to it. I feel so much for you. I wish that I could make both of us feel better. Try to hang in there. I know I know, I am so sick of people telling me to hang in there, but i guess there isnt much else we can do.

Emily: I think that's a good question, I am asking myself the same one. However like everyone else you should probably wait uintil the UTI goes away.
My symtoms are way worse than they were a year ago, in a way I feel "stuck" amd don't know what to do. I may start a thread simialr to yours and state the problems I'm having. I feel for you, this disease hurts so bad, espescially w/ a UTI. I really hope you feel bettr and get some more good advice like you have already.

:grouphug: Emily,I feel your pain. We are in the same boat right now. I having a really rough time with a stubborn uti also. I was planning on having a cysto/hydro later today (Friday) but I have decided to wait for the infection to clear up. I hope you and I both start feeling better soon.
