Just wondering if anyone uses a drug called Nalcrom. I thought I'd mention it because I take it and it helps a LOT! It's meant to block food allergies, and I guess that is what causes a lot of my bowel problems. Most doctors don't know about it - my usual family doctor and my uro didn't know of it. But, my "allergy guy" doctor tried me on it a year and a half ago to see if it would help my fatigue. It didn't, but I noticed I could have bm's without pain. Didn't realize how much I'd gotten used to it! I asked him why other docs didn't know about it, and he said well, there's a lot of good drugs out there, but if they aren't backed by a major drug company, they aren't well know. There are no side effects, and he says its a very safe long term drug, even in children. It works on the mast cells in the intestine.
