I dropped my tens this morning and it broke. :( :( Now I have to see if I can find a place that will make payments or just forget about having one. Insurance won't pay for another one until 4 years from now. What am I suppose to do now??? :(

:( oh noooooooooooooo! I hate to hear that you dropped and broke your TENS unit. I hope you don't have to go without one!

I won't be getting another one. Insurance will only pay for one every 5 years and that one wasn't that old. I give up on all of this. Everytime I try something always happens. There is no winning with this so the bladder/world wins and no more.

Hi PW,
Could you take the unit to the place of purchase and explain what happened, and tell them how much you need it? Maybe they can give you a "crisis pricing" for it. May be the manufacturer could help with a replacement or even a repair for your unit ..... how "broken" is it? It's electronically a pretty basic piece of equipment and so it should be able to be fixed for you. You know what I mean, it's not a computor or anything like that ....
I wish I could help you .... it's so tough when things like this happen. Liz

:) Mary, I don't know much about the tens units, but don't you have some sort of warranty??
Hope you can get it repaired, I'm sure something can get worked out.
Martha :)

I think you should talk to the place you got it, and with your doctor -- they may be able to either repair it for you or send a letter to your insurance company explaining what happened and why you desperately need this device. :grouphug:

Here's a thought! I'll bet it would be covered by your home owner's insurance!
Give them a try. I was amazed at what they would cover ...even replaced a camera that was stolen while I was in Ireland!!

I did some calling. Warranty was up a year ago but guess I killed the chip that runs the whole thing when I dropped it. once that is gone it isn't worth having it fixed. The company is giving me a discount on another one so I will be able to afford it. So glad since the pain is really really bad. Forgot how bad it really was without the tens. Was just going to not even bother getting another. Sorry for going off the deep end. It seems I always do that when something big happens. You would think I would have learned by now.

Oh I'm so glad you can get a new one! I can't imagine being without my TENS. I am also so co-dependant I was trying to think of a way I could help you get a new one for yourself. Now I can relax because you will be taken care of!! LOL! :woohoo:

That sure was nice of you Liz to try and help me figure out a way to have a tens again. :) I sure can't wait until tomorrow when I get it and bring it home to put back on. My back is killing me. :headbang: The bladder pain is going down both my legs. I'm just a complete mess without my tens. :bonk: It's strange how I forgot how much pain I was in before having the tens and then after having it.
