I had a cysto done almost 3 weeks ago. IC diagnosis was made visually from that. The first week was bad with pressure, feeling like I had a full bladder, and not being able to drink coffee! Second week I was starting to have more good days then bad, but still had some setbacks with the pressure feeling. Into the third week now, I am having more bad days. I have been following the IC diet fairly closely for 2 weeks now, and thought that would do the trick. What really gripes me the most is that I had NO symptoms at all prior to the cysto! :headbang: Now all of the sudden I have these issues to contend with? For how long? Should I ask my uro for meds to help me through this? I am not taking any meds except for Lexapro, for anxiety. I have been exercising for the past 2 weeks as well..... treadmill walking, light elliptical, and some arm toning with weights. Do you think these are causing me to not get back to normal?

HELP!!!

It's possible that you might have an infection. Has your uro tested your urine? Hope you start feeling better!

I've had many UTIs in the past, and this certainly doesn't feel like that.

Flare ups can vary about how long they last and it could be possible that the hydro did set off a minor flare up. Although I would suggest getting tested for a UTI. Developing one after this procedure is not uncommon. The last one I had done I got a really nasty UTI about a week later.

Did you uro start you on any meds for your IC. Or will you do this when you go back to him. You might need something in the meantime to get you over this.

Hoping you start feeling better soon. :grouphug:
