had my first hydro yesterday

Hi, had my first hydro and DMSO/heparin instill yesterday. I'm having some soreness now, but that didn't start until after I'd been up and around for awhile, so I'm going to go rest. I pretty much feel like I did before. Is it unrealistic of me to think I may get to sleep through the night? Last night I was up once, which is my normal routine. I guess I should give this a week or so to know if it "worked"?

I didn't see the dr yesterday, just was told to go see him in a month. I guess then we decide if I need further instills.

Oh, and I dont think I stink like garlic. I thought everyone did after DMSO? I'm sure my daughter would have complained if I did - she's like a bloodhound!

I was told I smell like rotting milk. I said don't you mean garlic? He said no more like really soured milk. I tried putting body spray on-made it worse lol I'm still a little loopy from the percocet but the pain has creeped up again. I was bawling when I had to pee before they would release me. I hope you see good results! I'm very happy to see that my uro isn't the only one that thinks DMSO with a hydro isn't a bad thing. I was really worried about that. Feel free to PM if you need to talk-sounds like we're in the same boat right now.

Hi Allmart,

I was feeling fine first thing this morning, but after a couple of hours started to really ache. So, I took the Tylenol 3 the uro prescribed. Now I know the dizziness and nausea is from the T3 and not the anaesthetic, like I assumed! Ugh. I just want to go to bed, but alas I have a 3 year old who has other ideas. Hoping I can bribe her with a video and sneak in a nap before I have to get my 6 year old from school in 2 hours. So, just regular Tylenol for me from now on.

Hope you are feeling better soon too! I'm assuming the weekend will be this way...
