I had the GREATEST massage today for my poor, sore shoulder and neck-- 'course, it of course helped that my masseur was very very VERY hot ;)
BUT that's not the only reason ;) He works out of the comprehensive rehab center at the hospital I work at, so I thought he might be good, but that it would be a bit clinical, since it was through the hospital... but when I went in there the massage room was like one in a spa, lovely low light, music, ocean wave noise machine, heated, warm table... the works. The ambience was amazing!
AND he was soooo good.  He knew all of the names of all of the muscles and where trigger points for myofascial pain syndrome occur in all of them. I explained my pain and he was able to find the EXACT trigger points causing it -- and his technique was INCREDIBLE. He was able to get my trigger points to release with just his hands, while before others have had to do trigger point injections with lidocaine to get them to break up. UNBELIEVEABLE...my shoulders and neck feel a hundred times better today, the wrist problem I thought was the beginnings of carpal tunnel and/or arthritis is completely relieved (I can write without pain!!!) and I'm in a dreamy mood even though the lower half of me still hurts a bit 'cause my period started later today...
If it could get any better, it turned out he was HALF as expensive as a massage at a spa!!!! AND for a little extra, he'll even come to your HOUSE. I ended up giving him a huge tip because it was soooo good, and because he charges so little to do something so amazing....
Needless to say, I now have a standing "date" with my new masseur every month ;)
