Is this normal????

Need some help, I had my first hydro a few days ago, I woke up this morning and my face and hands are very swollen, I called the Dr. and he just blew me off and said he didnt know what was causing it. I am really scared, im in A LOT of pain and just dont feel right... any advise would be very much appreciated!!! :bow:

coco1234, you can have an allergy reaction on anesthesia during your cysto/hydro.
In your place I would go to ER if your doctor doesn't care about it too much.
Did you start to take some new medicine after procedure was done? It can be a problem too. So, PLEASE wach yourself good and go to ER if your condition will go worse. :grouphug:

Honestly, I still can't understand why some american doctors are such idiots(sorry). They have such a long study to be a doctor and can't understand sometimes a simple things. I don't understand also why some of them don't afraid mal practice law suit even by having insurance? :cussing:

You should go to the ER...that does not sound right at all! When I got an allergic reaction to an antibiotic my doctor gave me, she told me to take some benedryl (sp) Maybe that help?

You probably had an allergic reaction to the anaesthetic but if I were you I,d go to the ER immediately.

Thanks! The swelling has gone down and im feeling a little better... I am so dissapointed in my uro, my husband had to go down there today to get some questions answered and he acted so rude, I needed some more pain meds and he told him I had to go through the pain Doc, and the pain doc said its the uros responsability to get me through this procedure with my medication... anyways the uro gave me 10 more pills and I have an appt w/the pain doc on friday, sometimes I just feel like the uro doesent care how im feeling, just passes me around and doesent take any responsability. Sorry to vent, I just feel so horrible today and I know I will be fine I just need a good cry! Thanks for listening

Glad you're feeling better. Your uro should have AT LEAST told you to go to the ER, in my opinion! An allergic reaction could've been serious! Cry it all out!
