i just found this little part of the board and had to share my love of all films by hayao miyazaki, otherwise known as the studio gibli films. they are just wonderful. my two favorites are 'spirited away' and 'princess mononoke', but all of them are fabulous. the animation is spot-on and sooo detailed- i've watched all these movies dozens of times but every time i find something new. they're just so imaginative and give wonderful stature to female characters- not something so often done in movies, right? anyway, yes. check out studio gibli movies if you want something fanciful yet meaningful at the same time. :)
