how long does effect last in terms of capacity?

Wow you sound like you have had great success with yours. Maybe if you start to feel crummy you could have another? I don't think you would have to have another unless your IC is bugging you.

Yep I agree with Jess unless you start feeling your IC is worsening I would not bother with one right now. You have had great success with the last one you had.

I go anywhere from six months to almost two years --- I wait until the pain returns before scheduling.

the reason I asked is there is a 6 month waiting list for hydros at my hospital!

A six months waiting list?? Wow!
A hydro for me last anywhere from 6-8 months before I start to have really severe pain. ( I have pain on and off from 4 months on, but nothing that I can't live with).

I had mine in 11/04 and I started to feel crummy around December 05. But, my health insurance upgrades in May when I enter graduate program- so I'm on meds to help me until then. But, I hope to have another in the fall of this year.
