My breasts hurt

My breasts have been hurting for a month now - like how they're sore when you're pregnant. It feels a lot better if I have a bra on, but as soon as I take it off - my boobs instantly start hurting really bad. It hurts if my arm brushes against my boobs (with a bra on). What the heck is wrong with me now? I'm not thinking breast cancer or anything like that because it's both boobs - not just one. The past couple days I've even slept in my bra because I don't want the pain of when I take it off. Help! Anyone have ideas or had this happen?

How old are you? I ask because when I was menopausal, I had the same problem. I think my hormones were raging!

I"m only 32, so I don't think I'm menopausal. You never know, though, stranger things have happened! LOL! I've been told many times that I have something that they usually don't see in people my age. I'm 32 on the outside, 72 on the inside!

I also get breast pain often. It used to only be during my period, but it seems they're always sore these days. Not sure why either.

I am on triphasic birth control, where the levels of hormones change during the pack to more closely mimic a natural cycle -- and I noticed that, as I hit about 30 years old, I got this during the "pink pill week" (otherwise known as the third week). I would have to tell Hubby, "Hands OFF the boobs; it's pink pill week." LOL. :)

I don't know -- I think it may be some kind of reaction between the hormones in the pills and my own hormones... plus, I have fibrocystic breasts so they really respond to changes in hormones with swelling, etc.

This probably doesn't help, since you said it was constant for a month, but I just thought I'd share my own sore boob story so you didn't feel so weird :)
