What's the status for insurance and botox?

I saw a Dr here in Boston about 2 months ago about the possibility of trying botox. He suggested that the FDA would be approving the treatment for IC in a couple of months, so I decided to wait. Anyone know what the status of this issue is?

Most insurance companies don't cover it automatically. But mine did with predetermination and one appeal.

Hi Daffie,
I understand that soon insurance companies will be covering it. This should happen once the FDA approves the treatment, if I understood my doc right. (It's possible that I didn't!) I'm trying to figure out when that FDA approval might be happening.
