Went in to see gyn today. unsure of whether I had scar tissue or what from my hysterectomy. He thinks it is a hernia. He wants me to go see surgeon and take it from there. I guess that not all hernias need surgery. He asked if it was bothering me it is tender, had a little bit of burning. Unsure if the discomfort I am having is more from the hernia or the bladder! i have to call my Gp to get the referral to surgeon so it will be a little bit until it gets figured out! :bonk:

I had textbook symptoms of a hernia after my hysterectomy (tvh). I switched GYN's, she guessed it was a hernia, sent me to a general surgeon who was almost positive it was a hernia. Scheduled surgery for 4 weeks later--turns out it was a bunch of adhesions. Maybe you'll be just as lucky, if you will, and it not be a hernia after all.

either way, good luck

:hi: charmed! I had a hiatal hernia, a hysterectomy, and 2 hernias at my pelvis before my hysterectomy. I had surgery for mine...
Mine would pop up in my skin like a golf ball (I mad more jokes about it than anything) ....slightly tender but no big deal (at least to me). The more I used the musscles around it the more it would up or hurt...so it was avoidable pain usually. I was in highschool at the time and waited till summer vacation for my surgery. In my opinion the bladder pain is way worse!!!!!!!

I don't think there is anymore I can tell you since so much time is passed but I will certainly try to remember whatever I can if you want to talk. :grouphug:

Oh ya...after my hysterectomy I had an area of a lot of scar tissue...it stayed tender and my GP suspected one of my hernias was back...but I knew that wasn't the case. Hopefully all is ok with you! :grouphug:
