It's always a good idea to ask your physician before combining over the counter medications along with prescriptions. Whether you have a problem with an OTC one can depend on what prescriptions you are taking.

Yup, I got sleepy from it, can't remember the ingredient that's in it that does this - is it valerian? I think there might be a couple of tranqulizing herbs in there. When I took it I was sleepy during the day and I slept like a log at night! However, when I went off it (I switched back to Cystoprotek), I felt fine during the day, and I had really dramatic dreams for a couple of weeks afterwards and felt like I was getting much better rest from my sleep (if this makes sense...). So for me at least, I didn't like the tranquilizing effect, and I think it disrupted my sleep by maybe making me dream less. I think they probably add the tranquilizing ingredients to relax the pelvic floor muscles or something...

In the ICN shop they sell both Cysta-Q and Cystoprotek, and if you click in that section you'll find descriptions and ingredients for both of them.
