Pretty Sure I have IC

I just found this website, and it's like everyone is telling my story. Now that I know what IC is, I believe I have had it for years, but I've always been able to manage it. I got this last flare up right before Christmas, and it is a doozy. Began getting my last flare-up as I was visiting my urologist for a three-month follow up visit. I told him that I didn't think I had had any more UTI's, but I still had symptoms. He gave me samples of Detrol and Ditropan. Detrol made it worse, and I didn't try Ditropan. I knew there had to be some kind of connection to acidic foods, and I asked him about that. He didn't seem to jump on that, so I'm thinking he probably doesn't know a whole lot about IC. Does anyone know of a good urologist in the Ft. Worth, TX area? Also, has anyone tried the alternative supplements?

As you can see, I am not from TX. I do know there are a few who post who are or were from your area. Hopefully, someone will come along to help. There is a way you can look for doctors in different areas available on the Main Page...the link is at the top of this page.

There are also some posts about the alternative sups. Take a look at the page that has the Boards listed and scroll down until you run into that particular Board.
