HELLO AGAIN. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS SINCE THIS HAS ALL STARTED. I HAD TO FIND A NEW DOCTER LAST WEEK, BECAUSE OF INS. REASONS. SO I FIND ONE, I GO THERE. THE DOCTER LOOKS AT ME ANDS SAYS I AM SORRY I CAN NOT HELP YOU, I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE TREATING YOU. HE SAYS I HAVE BEEN IN PRACTICE FOR 25 YEARS, AND I ONLY LIKE TO TREAT WITH DRUGS(WHICH I AM ON SO MANY ALREADY) SAYS HE CAN NOT GIVE ME PAIN MEDS, CUZ IF EVERYONE DID THAT THEN NO DOCTER COULD PRACTICE. SO I LEAVE THERE AND GO TO THE LIBRARY, TO GET A FEW BOOKS ON IC, AND THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY, SO I GO TO THE MALL. GET OUT OF MY CAR, BUT HAVE TO GET BACK IN, CUZ I SWEAR I WAS GOING TO PEE MY PANTS. I FELT SO BAD FOR MY KIDS. SO ANYWAYS I GO TO BARNES AND NOBLE AND THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY EITHER. I AM TELLING YOU I AM HAVING THE WORST WEEK EVER. I AM JUST SO FED UP!!!!!!!! SO NOW I HAVE NO DOCTER............MY JOB IS HANGING THERE BY A THREAD.........SO NOW I FEEL ALITTLE BETTER THANK YOU!!! IF ANYONE LIVES IN MILWAUKEE WI. PLEASE HELP ME FIND A DOCTER!!!!!!!!!! OH ONE MORE THING PEOPLE SAID THERE IS SOMETING ON HERE ABOUT SEX!! HELP ME FIND THAT TO. :help:

I'm sorry you are having a rough week. It's overwhelming. You'll find all the information you need here on this site. Feel free to ask questions about things you are wondering about, the nice people here are willing to help you out.

I agree that the Patient Handbook is an excellent resource. There are some other books available at the ICN Shop (link at the top of this page) that are also very good.

Thank You For Hereing Me...........the Problem Is That I Need A Docter. I Have Ibs As Well And That Is Acting Up To. I Am Also Having Some Pain Down Below. Raw Feeling With Pain. I Think Back On All This Now. Before A Long Time Ago, I Would Get A Yeast Infection Every Time Following My Period. I Think I Some Other Porblems To. Someone Said To Try Desitin. Does Not Really Work. So Here I Am On The Hunt For A Docter. Oh Someone Also Said To Check The Main Page, Well There Are Only Tow Docters Neither Are In My Area. Thank You Again For Listening!!!!!!!

Go to the Interstitial Cystitis Association's website at:
ichelp.org and email them for their list of doctors in your state. That is how I found my current doctor and the recommendation was then backed up by some folks on this board. I have had good luck with my doctor that was on the ICA's list.
I hope they have a doctor listed near you. Good luck.
