Your message on Problems with Kidney Before Surgery. I wil Say yes some but not as many as Now.When I was Little I had pus On the Kidneys which My Mom says that was real Bad.
I did Have Real Bad refulx On Both Kidneys.
Why did I have so many Blockages?
The First one was a year after my Ileo-conduit. He Left my Ureatha in cause He was Hoping I would some day returned to a Normal Bladder. But It had to be Moved. At the end of My Ureatha I was forming a Small Round thing In shape of another Bladder. I had to go Every week to get this Green stuff Drained out of the Ureatha. I had Presure there Like I had with My Bladder.
So I would strain and this smelly Green messs would come out. So finally they tried to use a Baby infant feeding tube to drain all of it. They would give me Versaid and demerol to Keep this stuff Drainning. Then he siad well we will go in a remove it. So that is When he Notice I was forming another Bladder at the End of my Ureatha. So then He Made anothe Ileo-conduit.
Then a Year later I was Doubling Over cause of no urine coming out at all. With a Ileo-0conduit the Urine drains all the time. Well this went on for 2 years. So they did a loo-o-gram and it showed a Blockage in the Loop Where No urine would come out. So he Made another loop.
one Year Later. another Blockage came in the Loop again. Well We could Never catch it when it would Not let Urine out at all. I went 4 years with temps of 104 to 105. In the Hospital Every Month. Finally On My Last Blockage I called him and Went Straight to his Office He did a Loo-Gram and it showed My Loo- was Blocked at the Opening. So we went in again and Made a new loop But this Time he Made it out of the TransVerse Colon. Cause they Used all my Intestines on all of my there Surgeries.
So Transverse it was. That was my Last on in 1999. But then During all the Blockages I had and Having to remake the Loop it was having a toll with my Right Kidney. I was Just every week I was having another Bad Infection on top of Infection. So In July of 2004 At Duke they Did a Renal Scan with Latix. Honey I went throught the Roof with that Test. I thought My Kidney was being ripped out of me. So I had a Consult with a Kidney Dr. at Duke. THis was July 25 . So On Stermber 1st of 2004 I had My Right Kidney removed cause It was dying cause of The IC attacked it real Hard. So also furing that Surgery they Broke a Rib to take out the Kindey which I did not Know they did that just to take out a kidney.
But all in all That was the Best thing to do on that Kidney. It was so Bad for My Body.
Well This Past June I had a nothe r Loo-o-Gram done !! It showed a Narrowing in the Left Ureter. I was in In Duke Hospital in July of 2005 and they Put in a double J stent. But they all left it in for 5 days.
So a Month later I was Bending over again in pain. We did anothe loop-o-Gram. it showed the narrowing again in the Left Urter. There was No urine coming out again . So In October I had another Double J stent in. It is still In. It will get changed out in February. Take out the Old and But in a new One. As Long as the Stent is Working That means No more Sugery. But know I ahve aslo come down with 2 Kidney stones.. Right Now we are Just waiting and watching to see what happens here.
