Hi Purple Violet, I tried to post to your question, but didn't get through the second time..Yes, I've been on an antibiotic since 2004 spring.... Trimethoprim every night. I had tried Elavil and it helped some...but not enough, then my Dr. talked about Interstim....I didn't want to do that...but was almost at the point to...so after reading lots of research on line...I talked with my Dr. about antibiotics...I know it helped and helps...because ...last year at one time I was out...and didnt' refill and take them...and started to get really really bad again...to the point of thinking ..."oh no...not again...".... then I refilled and got better...so now..I can eat or drink 'anythng' ...grapefriut juice...alcohol...beer, tomato..my favorite things...i dont limit anythng from my diet.....somedays...I do feel a tinge....but not bad...hopefully it will continue...I continue to take the Trimethoprim every night so far..it's been now since the spring of 2004... I'm doing good with IC...but have very bad hip/leg problems...bone stuff...very painful...but at least my IC is ok for now... BobbieB
