I recently saw Dr. Moldwin for the first time. I am a long time IC sufferer. He told me my biggest problem (as far as pain) is Pelvic Floor Disfunction. I was told to take 2 baths a day. He recommends to alternate with Sea Salt and Aveno. My question is what should I use to clean the tub? I want to use something very gentle since I am soaking in it twice a day.

Sounds like a question that may do better elsewhere...since it probably isn't the PFD that would react to what you clean it but the IC. One thing that may help is baking soda...it is used to clean many things and is something many of us add to our baths to make them more soothing. I'll see if I can find you more info.

For the shower and bathtub, veteran vulvadynia sufferers recommend using mild, non-scented soaps such as Basis or Dove. For an extra touch in your bath water, try using a few tablespoons of baking soda for an extra soothing touch.
Rince well! (both you and the bathtub after you bathe) Also, dry well...especially "down there" so that you avoid yeast infections. (Bathing often can be great if you are careful, but if not has its own problems)
I've never heard about baths for PFD, how does that work? o.o

Why did he think most of what you have was PFD. Did he describe what he found out about you that made him think that? I started doing these kegels and sometimes I feel like it makes my feeling like I have to go to the bathroom worse?
