Hi,
Just wondering how long it usually takes before you start to feel an improvement in symptoms after a hydro?

I usually feel less pain the day after I have a hydro, but it takes me several days for it to be really effective. Some people have reported here that it can take up to six to eight weeks.

I am the same as Donna. I feel some relief the next day. But my doc has told me that it can take long to feel relief.

Hi Dani:
I had Hydro back in April and it took about 2-3 weeks, best as I can remember to get some relief. And then, I had the best 6 months of my life until recurring Group B Strep in my bladder has invaded due to pregnancy (I'm 31 weeks and in misery). However, the first thing I am going to due once this baby comes out is to have the Hydro again. I HIGHLY reccommend it.

hi Dani, I had a cystoscopy and hydro last friday. The pain afterward was bad and it is still really painful and I still feel like my bladder is full when it isn't. I was also very sick for about 4 days but I could have had a bad reaction because of my fibromyalgia. I'm very new to all this so I don't know if my expectations are too high.
I hope it all works for you (and me too). At the moment I feel like it made it worse. Maybe I just have to be a little more patient!
Good luck with your pregnancy lilfoot3, I hope you feel much better soon! :)

It took me up to two weeks to get back to pre-distention levels and about 3 to get my frequency levels down a bit. I went from peeing 12-20 times a day to 7-10.

It usually takes me about a day to get to feeling better.
