:) Hi I love fonts and clipart, but I'm still not really sure how to use it, I usually safe it in my ''pictures'' , is that right? or should I store it in another folder?
What paper do I use to print the fonts and clipart ? obviously for scrapping it has to be acid free, but I mean the thickness of the paper etc,. hope some one can help me out, Tracey I know you love fonts as well, what do you do??
thanks martha

Hey Martha! I have a folder for fonts I gather on the web where I save them to, so I can find them easily, lol. Then when I install them they automatically go into the computers default "Fonts" folder. Most of my clip art comes from clip art disks, so I think if I was gathering I would do the same as I do for my fonts, have one specific folder to save them to, that way easy to find later, ;)
Paper-wise, you can use just about any thickness as long as your printer is rated for it. It should be somewhere in your printer manual how thick you can go with it. Ooooh I love paper too...lol...
Hope this helps a little bit!! I have been working on printing out pictures lately, trying to get these damn frames filled, lol!! I finally have 2 filled...out of 6 on my desk shelf... Oh my and there are many more to go. I found that I love Kodak Ultima Picture paper, it's so heavy and just like regular photo paper. Oh great, it's bed time and now I want to work on pics!!
If there are any typos, sorry, I got a sick kitty and she's on my lap, with her head on my forearm, kinda tough to type!! Poor baby has a UTI -- like mommy like kitty...ugh. (Only I am fortunate enough to be --knock on wood-- UTI-free)
Love,
T.

:) thanks Tracey, sorry to hear your kitty is sick, I have heard that cats are susceptible to uti's is that true?? is she on antibiotics??
I love paper too, my hubbie bought me a big pack of 100 scrapping pages, all different colours, and he got me a box with 10 border punches, he does things like that quite often, and I get flowers too on a regular basis, not bad hey after 25 years.
anyway thanks very much for the info tracey.

Ok, can your man write a how-to book please?? Maybe if it was written by another guy, mine might read it and pay attention!! LMAO!! You know lots of pictures etc....or have the important stuff written across some cleavage so he's sure to look there, lol!!! :biglaugh:
Yep, kitty is on anti's, poor thing. She's really not liking mommy and daddy these days -- thank goodness it's a liquid, daddy still ends up with quite a bit on him!! At least though she hasn't peed on him lately, when she gets scared and picked up and restrained, she's pees. :biglaugh: Poor baby girl! But funny for Jeremy,LOL You know I know cats can get IC, and mine has had a history of UTI's, so not sure on the stats with that one. I am so happy cause I just got off the phone with the vet and her blood work came back great, (thought it was the beginnings of kidney failure) and he was very surprised as she's 18 yrs old. lol. But he did say that doesn't mean her kidneys are perfect, just that she's compensating well by drinking more water etc. So, it's special diet time for her. He said we might as well be proactive instead of waiting to see bad numbers. Whew!!
Hugs!

:) WOW, your cat is 18 years old?? she has done very well so far, even with the uti's she just keeps going, that's one tough kitty you got there Tracey,
It's good her blood work came back good, she is not ready to go anywhere just yet.
My gorgeous shi-tsu, died just over a year and a half ago, from kidney disease, she was only 4 years old, they couldn't do anything for her, we were devastated, the night she died, I just cried and cried, my eyes were that swollen, and it lasted a long time before the grief got easier, I swore I would never get a pet again, I did not want to go through that pain again, but then we got Lily, our maltese, and of course we fell in love with her, but even now writing this, I get all blubbery again.
Wouldn't be a bad idea for hubbie to write a book, the problem is he doesn't like writing haha, I don't know what it is, he just does these things for me, always has.... that idea about writing it on some cleavage sounds great, :biglaugh: has to be done with a permanent marker though, or maybe you could tattoo it on, so it will always be there for those men to see :biglaugh:

LOL, yeah, she's trooper and my little old lady, but you wouldn't know it. One of my kitties Bandit lived to about 23.
I had a little tortise shell kitty and she had kidney failure at 5 I think. The vet thought maybe it was that she'd ingested poison, so did a dialysis treatment, but didn't help so it was determined to be a kidney failure, some kind of genetic thing. I was miserable when we had to put her to sleep. Ugh. I can't tell you how that stuff breaks my heart. Seems for awhile I have lost one a year...ok, getting all sniffly myself here....
Oh yes, or I just had another idea...the pages in the book will be cleavage back ground, lol!!!! He could dictate it to you and you could type it for him!! ;)
Hugs!

traceann
12-14-2005, 09:16 AM
And I know I don't ever want to be boring!! Are you with me ladies?!? I think it's perfect!! Buns, cleavage etc. My hubby is a self-proclaimed butt man, lol. (I cleaned it up a bit, lol). Good thing size is not a factor! WHEW!!!! We were watching Extreme Makeover and one woman was having the butt procedure where they made it "bigger", and he said, "you should have that done!" :biglaugh: LMAO!! I had to make him repeat himself, I have never had a guy tell me to get a bigger butt!!! :loco:
I am telling you we are on to something here...that sort of page layout with those backgrounds would get guys to read the book!!!! It's perfect!!! :woohoo:
MarthaB
12-14-2005, 11:28 AM
:) Why anybody would like a bigger butt is beyond me, I am one of the lucky ones that even though I may put on weight some where else, it never goes on my butt, my mum was the same, so it could be genetic.
I watched those extreme makeovers all the time when we used to get it on the tv here, some of the changes are amazing, some people suffer from real low self-esteem because of the way they look, and I found a lot of it has nothing to do with vanity, they are either born that way, or they has a hard life and it shows up on their face.
That dentist they usually have on, he is really good, probleby veryyy expensive, but he does a good job.
I wouldn't mind a bit of lipo on my thighs, this rotten cellulite won't shift, grrr.

traceann
12-14-2005, 04:37 PM
Oh yeah, I agree. I loved that show, the transformations are amazing...and you're right, it's never a vanity thing, that's why I like it.
My predominant weight gain areas are my butt and thighs. Never my stomach. That's what has me so freaked out about this stupid rapid weight gain thing going on, it's around the middle and my thighs seem to have been "inflated", lol - the butt feels the same way, :biglaugh: . It's the weirdest feeling --they feel like they skin is stretched tight (I am sure it is,lol) but it's an odd feeling. I have heard prednisone can make you retain water and that's part of the weight gain thing going on, I am one big water balloon....ugh. Like my pics http://www.flickr.com/photos/45729910@N00/56630952/ at Flickr, that one in particular... I have never seen my face so puffy!! LOL :biglaugh:

Is this a common side effect from the meds you are taking?? what is it for??

Oh my goodness you are soooo beautiful!!! :) That's a stunning baby pic, and I mean it!!
Yeah the prednisone can cause weight gain, bloated abdomen, rounding of the face - all sorts of fun effects!! I should have posted this one pic of me eating a damn cookie at the party, it's really funny! Cause that's the first reaction I had -- what the hell is in my cheeks and eating the cookie just makes it funnier!! I'll have to dig it up...at least I can laugh (sometimes, lol) about it! It was for this colitis baloney I have had to deal with this past year. I just stopped it 2 days ago...it's one you have to be weaned off gradually, I swear with all the little set-backs it took forever!!! :cussing:
Oh and thank you!! I love black and white my faves, I will put in a link from the other one, that has my cat pictures I doctored to get ready for framing...

I love those cat photo's, even the cats look glamorous in black and white, I think they will look nice in a big frame, all the black and white photo's together.

Martha, he's rarely out these days!
Mind you, he came home early from work - a very rare occurrance indeed - and took Hillz shopping for chrissie pressies for me. So, perhaps tonight, I'll let him off the chain Hahaha.....NOT!
At least you didn't say Ancient History.
It's alright to sling off at my age, I won't mind or forget! Nah, I always say that its got nothing to do with me! Take it up with Mum and Dad. But if you want to call them it will have to be long distance.....Very Looooooooong distance Hahahah! Do you know they have both been gone over thirteen years and I will still go to ring Mum if something interesting happens!
I am very sorry that you are in pain today. It isn't fair! Have you tried the bicarb soda?

:) I'm thinking that I clean my drain in the kitchen sink with that stuff, uurrgg, anyway I just had another glass, normally I would take a quick sip of Tony's beer, or bourbon, just to get rid of the taste.
I'm going back to the dr again tomorrow to gave him the xrays I had done today of my right leg and hip, I'm sure he isn't going to find anything, because it's all refered pain from the bladder, but he just wants to be on the safe side, and I have to get another script for tramal, the surgery is closed for 2 weeks as from monday, so I don't want to be stuck with no painkillers.
How is your back doing?? and did you get all your cleaning done??, It's amazing how funny we get over having to have a clean house, I do the same thing, but really, no body gives a stuff, they are only after the booze and the turkey., haha

You're not wrong Boris! Grog and chrissie pud mmmmmmmmm..................
Heaven on earth.
The kids ran out of puff the second day. I've had this discussion with a few people as to why we get the cleaning bug before Christmas. And I look at it this way.
1. I want to be able to enjoy the break
2. If I see a mess I can't really relax. Someone in my head keeps telling me to clean it up.
3. I don't doubt that Mum is up in heaven watching me and will get me with a bolt of lightening if I don't
Hey, by the way, there's something in the post for you. Ho Ho Ho Blame Australia post if it doesn't get there soon. I hope it makes it before champagne and chrissie food!
Oh and hubby arrived home with fish and chips for dinner. Naughty but nice! And I didn't have to cook. Now if only I didn't have to take Hillz out and pick her up later, I'd have a scotch or two ...without the bicarb soda!

Aah, I'm bopping away at James Blunt's song '' your'e beautiful'' he is on at the tv right now, he reminds me of Cat Stevens.
Anyway he told me about the strippers last night, :woohoo: it made me blush, the things they do,... they also got these topless girls walking around serving nibblies, finger food and all that, one of the girls there was a ex big brother inmate.

Heh heh, I agree on the animals, I have always (well, most always, I had my stupid moments with the best of them...LOL) preferred the 4-legged kind!! :)
Oh yeah, I would have something to say about it if they were serving nipples!!
Ok, here's a few I ran across, can't see the dimple very well in them though!! I know there's a better one somewhere, being an only child, parents tend to take tons of pictures, lol.

Unfortunately, with the weight gain lately, I would have to say I look the same in a bikini about now...LOL Only now it's not as cute as it was then!! :biglaugh: I have to say though I have a feeling that started my whole love affair with bathing suits, lol. Funny thing is I have always had tons of them, and I do now, only I don't wear them...go figure.
And thanks! I always thought my daddy was handsome myself, only wish the ears were't passed on to me... ugh. :bonk: I got the ears, the short stubby legs and the tendancy to get gray hair early on...ugh. :cussing: I really miss him, he died when I was 18-19 and I wish he'd been here to meet my now-hubby, I know they would have got on fabulously. My dad loved boats -- so I grew up at marinas :biglaugh: , and my hubby is a charter boat owner. I can't help but think dad had something to do with me finding Jer...he finally gets to have his "own" boat... :biglaugh: (oh yeah, and the penchant for being "furry" in all the wrong places... LOL!! I am the same way though! It totally sucks! If I'm not shaving, I'm bleaching or using a hair remover....argh!!! Now, my mom...she could not shave her legs if she so chose....grrr......thanks dad.....
Sorry to get back to this so late, sheesh. Kitty had a relapse, so last night I noticed her UTI seemed to be back, this time with blood in her urine. Soooo, that kind of messed up last night for any online stuff, too busy comforting her and making sure she was calm etc. I got her into the vet pronto this morning, and he thought maybe it was a bladder stone - different from a kidney stone since they develop in the bladder of kitties, and irritate the lining of the bladder by bouncing around. (hubby said to me when the doc left the room to xray her - "huh, maybe you got rocks in your bladder!" He thought he was so funny, very proud of himself, so I replied well at least I don't have rocks in my head like you do!!" Ah true love, can't you tell?? LMAO!!!) So, he xrayed her and thank goodness no stones, if there were he'd have to operate. Yikes. Well, he then came to the conclusion she wasn't on the meds long enough so gave me a different antibiotic to give her for 2 weeks. Oh brother is she a tough one to get liquid into, this pill business is going to be a challenge!!!!
Merry Christmas Girls!!!
Love,
Tracey

:) Tracey, sorry to hear about your cat is sick again, poor thing, because they cannot talk they suffer in silence, we found out too late with our dog's kidney disease, and we blamed ourself for a long time.
hope she will get better soon.
About the shaving thing, I also use to wax , but this one time I tried to wax under my armpits, and I forgot, so I closed my arm, and the armpit stuck to the skin under my arm, oh boy, did that hurt, I had to carefully seperate the skin, and it took a long time, so now I just shave, except for my legs, I sometimes use the hair removal cream.
When us girls were still living at home, we were never aloud to shave, my dad said that hair is there for a reason, dooohhh, I can just imagine walking the street with hairy legs, armpits, and a moustache, I don't think so, so we shaved anyway haha.
Hope you didn't poke your eyes out Rosalie? LOL, you need them to make those beautiful truffels :biglaugh:

Fortunately, I never had the hair problem. I suppose being fair helped. Funny though, as I got older I had to shave my legs and I just never could do the au naturalle thing under the arms.
My sister does however and I can't get used to it. Maybe its something to do with the Buddhism. You know, not harming any creature! Does hair count?
traceann
12-22-2005, 06:39 AM
LOL, I couldn't go the no-shave-the-pits business either... Hmmm, if I don't do it I LOOK like some sort of creature, but never thought of it as a creature.... Oh gosh yes, I'd shave in secret if I had too!!! :biglaugh: That would be awful...dad's and their wacky ideas...lol.
I have waxed my bikini line (not the "too sensitive" area, just strictly where the bathing suit didn't cover that sort of thing :biglaugh: ), and it was great about a week later after I healed!!!!! Oh my goodness, that was rough, it drew blood! But, damn, it was smooth sailing for weeks, no having to shave and get little red bumps...just haven't been brave enough to do it since... I also thought one time, how hard can it be to wax one's legs?? Bought the wax kit...I was in the bathroom a good 2 hours and only got from the knees down!!! I had wax everywhere, on the floor...I went to walk across the room and my sock stuck to the floor and came off...I gave up. Next time I will let the professionals do it!!!! :help:
Oh Missy seems to be feeling better... I hope the trend continues! She ate her canned cat food (Her daily treat) and played with her catnip filled carrot toy!
I know what you mean - by the time we see the problem, it's usually after it's progressed quite a bit. My dog had a uterine infection, and when she started acting punky, not wanting to eat etc. we took her to the vet, he operated, but it was too late, too much infection had gone through her body... And that's just like when I lost my Calico this past March...she didn't come out of anesthesia because it had progressed too far.... Sure does make you sad, and feeling like you should have seen it etc....
It's almost Christmas!! Yippy!!!

The hardest part of deciding to get a pet or not is knowing that you will have to go through losing them one day. I was a mess after my beautiful keeshond died. Its 19 year ago and I still can get teary.
I don't know about the psycho we have now!
Its been many a year since I could even consider a bikini, so I don't have to think about the waxing thing. What do you think about the brazilian craze?.

Aaarggg, hair under the pits, it's like you are hiding a possum under your arm permanently, 2 possums, one for each armpit, haha
yes we have flushed many goldfish down the loo, and it doesn't seem to bother me, ... my daughter did cry once,.... but when it comes to furry pets, it's a diiferent story, and I would be upset if my budgie would die, her name is newton, (after Bert Newton) he is a tv personality here, turns out newton is a girl not a boy, ah well newton stuck, I don't think she minds.
I got my little hairy girl some treats for her christmas stocking, ..The stocking is really cute, it says '' spoilt rotten'' and it has her photo on it, and I got newton some toys as well, her cage is so full now, I have to leave some room for her, haha, they are part of the family so they get chrissie presents too.

OMG,, The waxing thing OUCH!!!!! I don't mind it when I had to do it to others when I was at work, & I usually do my eyebrows without a problem. But silly me whilst I was pregnant I decided that I better do something about the bikini line before bearing all whilst having Cohen. So one day feeling very brave I thought I do do it myself ( big mistake) So trying to hold a big belly up enough to see what was down there off I go. Get the wax one whilst standing in front of a mirror ( no other way I could even see what was down there HA HA) Stood there for a few minutes trying to work up the courage to rip & rip fast. 1, 2, 3, rip..... The only problem was I only got it off half way & felt like I was going to faint. So here I am standing half naked in front of the mirror with a wax strip still hanging on for dear life, thinking what the h*#* do I do now. BY this time I had to sit down, I was sweating & all dizziy, felt like I was going to trow up an minute. I finnaly worked up the courage to finnish the job off, but decided that the other side would have to be a razor job. And needless to say I will never try that one again on my own. :loco:
