I went in for Cystoscopy with hydrodistention on Friday. The doctor told me that I might have a flare up for a few days after and he was so right. I am gonna be missing work tomorrow as a result. Just lookin for others who had this and if it bothered them afterwards and if it did help eventually? When I woke up after it I swear I could have left sitting on a bedpan for the 2 hr drive home. :hmm:

I have always stayed in the hospital overnight after a hydro and it isn't bad when I go home. It can take a few days before you feel up to going to work. Some people have said it takes weeks. When I was working, I usually had the hydro on a Tuesday or Wednesday and stayed home the rest of the week.

Hydros have been of benefit for me as well, when I was still working I did them on Thursday so I had the weekend to recover. Luckily I wasn't doing floor nursing at that point--did case management--so that might have changed things. It also helped that the uros who did most of them had the office next door to mine so all I had to do is poke my head around and say "IT is time"

sorry to say I had one that worked and the second one sent me into a 6 week flare and done nothing for me.. I really hope you are one who finds great relief after the flair ends..
keep us posted.
i am so scared to have mine done, i'm having a cyto/hyperdist/biopsy on the 21st and i'm freakin out because it feels like there is soooooooo much pressure on my bladder and to fill it to capcity...i don't know, i just hope it doesn't burst or something. and i know that that may sound silly but seriously, my bladder blows up like a balloon and my abdomen swells like crazy. i think it's from standing all day...
