I went in on the seventh for my cystoscopy and biopsy.I was under the impression I was finally getting somewhere.I had finally got to see my consultant instead of a never ending stream of understudies, he said he thought I was right and the symptoms did indicate IC.He said that as he hadn't done the last cysto and biopsy himself I would have to have it repeated before he could prescribe medication.Although I wasn't keen I felt I had to go along if it meant getting treated.He said he also thought I might have patches of endometriosis which could be causing IC. I woke up after the op to be told that yet another understudy had done the op, had a quick look and said as she couldn't see any pinpoint bleeding i couldn't have IC.I asked if they had found any endo and see looked blankley at me before my consultant bustled up and said she wouldn't have seen it anyway because my ovaries weren't telling it to bleed.I haven't had ovaries for 9 years(or a uterus or tubes because of endo)! :headbang: She hadn't done a biopsy and my consultant said they dont Know what it is but to come back in four months to talk about some meds.I'm still in pain but have stopped bleeding know, but I feel so frustrated that I still don't know anything after 8 years. It's really left me feeling down.My husband thinks I should come off the nhs and pay private but my doctor says that even if I did it would be the same consultant urologist so whats the point :loco:
