Hi
Just wondering if I should give cystoprotek a go? has anyone had much success with it? or any bad side effects etc?
Thanks

Leanne,

Search on the forums and you will find lots of people who have tried it and you can read their experiences. Then you can decide. They will send you a sample of about 12 pills to try first if you want to make sure you won't react to it.

I have had good luck with Cystoprotek, I take 6 a day along with Calcium citrate 6 a day and may go back on Enablex 7.5 mg.
It takes about 3 months to work then all of a sudden kicks in. I had a lot of bladder pressure and it really helped with that.

This is, BY FAR, our best selling alternative in the ICN Shop. It outsells everything else 10 to 1. You can support our website by purchasing it from us rather than from the manufacturer! http://www.icnshop.com

NO, I dont think the cystoprotek helped with frequency. I think the Enablex helped the most with that. Cystoprotek really relieved the bladder pressure and urethral pain i think it helped also. Cystoprotek is a bladder coating like Elmiron and is soothing.
I do very well in the day, but lately have had a problem with night time peeing. I think most people use hydroxazine for that.

I take cystoprotek 6 a day for the past six months. It has helped me tremendously. I take that, calcium citrate, and sometimes Enablex for urge.
I have not even taken the Enablex in two months and am doing fine.
It helped a lot with bladder pressure, and it took about 3 months to really see results.

There's many people using it but not many people are responding to this thread. We need more input to evaluate this product. I take it on and off with Elmiron so can't say which is helping.

snybody else on this? ordered mine last week, just received it - hesistant to try it untill I get my UTI sorted... have read the archives and only a handful of people seem to be on this. Who has tried this then went onto Elmiron instead?

I was the opposite...I went OFF the ELMIRON and started taking the cystoprotek. :)

I tried cystoprotek for 2 months and was in so much pain and had such bad urgency still that I went off it and on Elmiron. Eventually maybe I will switch back, but I needed to get out of that severe state I was in and Cystoprotek was not helping me do that, where Elmiron did. Morally and health-wise I would rather be taking Cystoprotek, so it makes tons of sense to give it a try before Elmiron.
