Ok I have read that alot of times the procedure can actually help or take away the pain by stretching the bladder but this has made it 10 times worse the pain is unbearable unless i pop Percocet round the clock and I am urinating even more often.

When did you have your procedure? Have you been checked to be sure you don't have an infection? It can take up to several weeks before you're completely back to normal after a hydro, but I usually feel better within a few days.

I think the feeling better part comes after the initial flare.. (It takes a bit longer if they take a biopsy during the procedure. )
Hoping you feel better soon!!

I just had it yesterday (Wednesday) and I'm really in pain and he told me to take tylenol.
Yes, I felt pretty lousy for a few days, then better.
Have you had Tylenol before? It gives me a nasty flare. My doctor gave me Darvocet, which handled the pain well. I don't know why Darvocet, which contains Tylenol, is ok & plain Tylenol is not, but I've tried both a number of times & it always turns out the same.
Don't panic, it's pretty common to feel flared for a few days after the cysto/hydro, but if you run a fever or have UTI symptoms (burning after voiding, fever, chills, nausea, cloudy urine) definitely go in to be checked, ok?
Hoping you feel better soon!

No infection just feels very inflamed and my urethra kills it hurts to sit down!!!! I called just now to get something stronger but I have to be careful what I take due to my colitis and stomach issues, usually I can only take Percocet.

I felt worse before I felt better - hope you recover soon and if the symptoms do not go away, makes sure you have yourself checked for a UTI

Is it common to get a UTI after this procedure?

Yes, it is common but not a hard and fast rule. Anytime something is inserted into your urethra, a UTI is possible. It is also very common for you to feel sore after this procedure. If this does not go away in a day or two, you might think about getting your urine tested for an infection. If it gets worse over the next few hours, then do have it checked. If it is a UTI causing these symptoms, it is very important that you get it treated.

Many people flare up after the c/h just because your bladder has been "messed" with -- but the others are right, please get tested for a UTI if it continues. Even if you got some antibiotics after the procedure you can still end up with an infection.

I had pain after the cysto/hydro and it took a while to calm down. I expectged more long term relief but has yet to come. I guess I was one of the few that did not get IC painrelief from the procedure but.........having said that it did take at least a week to feel better from the procedure. Try to rest as much as you can and don't push yourself too much.
hang in there!
