Hi there,
I was recently given Nortriptyline 10mgs. at bedtime in combo. w/ my pain meds to try and help w/ my pain. Now they say it is very simular to Amitriptyline, which I tryed but had too many side affects. So I was nervous to try a med. that I was told was simular but more tolarated then Amitrip. So far so good, I have taken it 3 nights and aside from a little more drowsiness in the morning, I have not had any side affects. I was just checking to see if any one else has tryed this or are still on it and if it has worked for them. Also if they have had any side affects and what dose are they on? Sorry, I have a lot of questions :bonk: :) They gave me a "starter" pack with a week by week dosing schedulle. The first week, 10mg, the second 20mg, the 3rd 30mg.....ect, it stops at week 5 and 50mgs. Each week says if my pain is treated well w/ this weeks dose, continue taking this dose, if not treated well go to the next week and try untill the right dose is found. I hope it works!! Any input would be appreciated! Thank you.
Take care and God Bless, Cassandra
