About frequency, please!

Hi ladies!

What kind of frequency do you have?

I understand about bladder/fulness feeling, when you feel bladder full again just after voiding.

But, at some part of the day when I feel pretty good I can have frequency suddenly appeared and what is interesting, I can go every 30 minutes during 2 hours and every time when I void I have full-big amount of urine. I mean that it's not as I want to pee and I have only two drops or so are coming out. I even think...I didn't drink a lot for having so much urine every 30 minutes.) And, after some time it's usually back to normal. It's strange. What do you think?

There are times w/my frequency, that I will urinate a larger amount than I thought I should, remember we also get liquids in the foods we eat, and it all adds up.

I have the same question. I always wondered if the IC bladder/kidneys make more urine than other people? Sometimes I go about 350cc, then 20 min later another 250cc! I told my uro and she said it sounds like I am drinking too much water...But I am really not! I just drink when I am thirsty.

I've noticed this to.

Sometimes though I thought it was alot more than it was. Like when I did my voiding diary, I discovered alot of those times I was only going 50-100cc.

when things get really bad, i go like every 5-10 mins at home...and its not just a little that i'm able to expel, i don't know where all the liquid comes from. when i'm out and running around to appts and at work, i try to space it out longer...but i'm not able to sit for longer then like an hour without extreme discomfort/pressure...

I thought so too untill I kept a voiding diary and measured- most of it was 50-100cc and then think if your bladder can only hold 100cc, you would have to go twice after just one glass of water..
But then again I do have frequency with decent amounts if I take any medication like painkillers- think they have a diuretic effect on me.

I too have had the same thing..when im having a bad flare and going 3 times in a matter of an hour or 2 there does seem to be a lot there...but then i started measuring and like some of the others mentioned it actually wasnt all that much but there were however times when it was a descent amount that i really couldnt explain becuase i dont drink that much ....im not sure if u have tried this already u probably have but get an old measuring cup or just something to measure how much it is ...maybe it'll help clear up some confusion or confirm that it is actually a large amount

I go about every 20-30 minutes during the day. When I have to go pick up my daughter in the afternoon I stop my fluids several hours beforehand so that I'm not running into the school to go. They don't really like carpool moms running in the school like crazy people to go pee! :lmao: But it has happened to me several times. I figure the camera sees me, and they say there's that crazy mom again, and let it go LOL!

At night it varies...sometimes I can actually sleep through the night but when I wake up in the morning I can barely make it to the bathroom in time, and I will always wake up early because of a full bladder. Then there are other nights I'm up 2-3 times a night.

I go a lot, but I stopped counting because it was too depressing.

Something that has helped me with freuency and urgency is called enablex it is a newer drug and it targets the bladder to relax. It has been a life saver talk to your dr about it!

I get the same sensation. It feels almost like my bladder is in a dumping mode (or my kidneys I should say). I feel this sudden urgency take over and I will pee a lot and then a little while later also pee a lot. It is especially horrible if I drink something with a lot of ice. It is almost as if my kidneys can't handle all that water at once. The funny thing was that I had the same thing happen when I had a sugar test done and had to drink that orange stuff. I think it might have something to do with sugar maybe? I know if you are diabetic you go more often. I think I am hypoglycemic or something as well.
