I have another yeast infection

I have another yeast infection from the Anti's I am taking for my uti and kidney infections . My whole vagina are are all swollen . I called my dr. and he called m e in some diflucan yesterday. The yeast infection triggered a flare I was flare free for a little while and now it is back. :cussing: what can I do to prevent them I have to take the antibotics for 2 months.?

no, Have you not tried probotics? Probotics prevent yeast infections well while on an anti. I am on long term antibiotics and stopped taking diflucan and instead am taking a high dose of acidophilus and I don't believe I have gotten a yeast infection for a while..certainly not any bad ones.

I also take probiotics. Ever since I started, I have not gotten a yeast infection - even while on antibiotics. They also seem to help my IBS problems.

My vagina is really swollen bad down there and a lot of burning. I took some pyruiduim and use lidocaine gel on it I hope it helps it is swollen I couldn't self cath today. I took the diflucan this morning.

youch kim....are you sure this is just a yeast infection? Have you been to the doctor and gotten a culture? You have my prayers.

No I haven't been to the dr. I go to the dr. on Tuesday. I feel a little better today.
